Cocktail Attire that Dazzles

While the little black dress is always safe at a cocktail party, sometimes you want to stand out from the crowd. My client, Lisa Johnson Mandell, frequently attends entertainment industry events. In this deep purple taffeta she stood stand her ground with all the starlets. Here she is with James Cameron of Avitar fame. Lisa reported lots of compliments, and her husband was a hero. We had secretly arranged for James to purchase this dress for Lisa's birthday.
Check out Lisa at http://www.lisajohnsonmandell.com/ She is the author of "Career Comeback: Repackage Yourself to Get the Job You Want." She included some of my advice on appearance for professional women in her book. She has great tips on adapting resumes for today's marketplace and creating a web presence.

Carlisle Collection

Carlisle Trunk Show
in Pasadena, California

What is a trunk show?

This is a personalized relaxed way to shop. Women come to my home by appointment to view the Collection during a showing and then place their order. The clothes arrive anywhere from the following week to several weeks later depending on the cut dates.

What is the advantage of shopping this way?

The representative is not under any pressure to sell you what is in their inventory, since they only have samples. Instead they want to sell you what works best for your figure type, coloring and life style needs.

Who is a typical Carlisle client?

My ladies fall into two categories. My professional women have limited time to shop, yet need to look their polished best. Some wear traditional attire and others business casual. My socially active women appreciate the quality of the garments that are fashion forward yet tasteful.

Would my Carlisle Trunk Shows work for you?

Ideally you should be between size 0-18. You would probably want to live within a reasonable distance from Pasadena. You most likely are used to spending around $500 plus for a designer jacket and $300 for pants and skirts.
